  • A family tradition since 1982, Allen Montessori Academy gives children the opportunity to develop at their own pace in a safe and nurturing environment. Following the Montessori philosophy, which emphasizes self-directed activity and stresses the importance of adapting the child’s learning environment to his or her development level, Allen Montessori Academy combines various experiences along with integrated circle time, books, music and art into a meaningful yearly theme. "Children should love what they are learning. Our curriculum enables us to go deeper into the subjects that children show a particular interest in," explains Director Irina Kremen. "We prepare the environment where the child can teach himself and develop self-discipline. The classroom becomes a small community or a ‘Children’s House’ where children share love and ownership of the environment and spontaneously take responsibility for its care. This instills the desire to learn. "

Each classroom is led by a Montessori certified teacher. Teachers and their assistants work together to create a secure environment in which your child may grow. The teacher, keeping in mind the curriculum requirements, evaluates the needs of each child and helps guide him/her into appropriate learning activities.

Allen Montessori Academy is open to children 6 weeks to 13 years of age. Some of the features provided include: before and after school care, extracurricular activities, open door policy to observe your child, security access entrance and Spanish class.
