Meet Allen’s oldest business—Rodenbaughs. Founded in 1962, this family-owned and operated business has been serving the metroplex for over forty years. Their motto, "We won’t sell it if we can’t service it!" has not only helped brand the business, but has been the essential backbone of their business ethics. Rodenbaughs started as a TV and electronics repair business. Customers began asking ask if they would offer other merchandise. In the early 60s they started to provide appliances and soon followed with flooring. The business has gone full circle and today no longer carries TV sets or does electronic repairs. Today Rodenbaughs carries the Flooring America designation in its name and offers products for residential and commercial applications. These include wood floors, area rugs, carpet, vinyl and ceramic tile. Some of the brand names include; Dupont Stainmaster Carpet, Wear-Dated Carpet, Ansonylon, Milliken, Amtico, Armstrong, Bruce hardwood floors and Hartco Quality Wood Flooring. Appliances include refrigerators, ranges, ovens, microwaves, dishwashers and washers & dryers. Their brand names include; Whirlpool, Kitchen Aid, Roper, Estate, Amana, Maytag, Broan, FiveStar, Jenn-Air, Kenmore, Waste King, Panasonic, Scotsman, Sinkmaster Food Waste Disposers, Speed Queen and Marvel Industries.
