Just over a year ago, Allen City Television (ACTV) began airing a witty new segment called The Dilly-O as a fun way to keep residents informed about activities around town. Since then, The Dilly-O has aired over 60 shows and recently garnered two Lone Star EMMY® Awards for the ACTV mantle.

At the regional Texas awards gala of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, The Dilly-O won top honors in categories for Public/Current/Community Affairs Program/Special/Feature or Segment and Writer-Short Form. The show, hosted by Marci Moon, is produced and directed by Mark Kaufmann and Scott Evans. Evans is the creator and writer for the weekly segment.

The City of Allen’s award winning Allen City Television (ACTV) has never been a run-of-the-mill municipal information channel as it has claimed over 150 state and national awards since its inception in 2000. Even more impressive, ACTV received NATOA’s Overall Excellence in Government Programming (budget up to $200,000) for the third consecutive year.

ACTV offers a full range of programming from Allen City Council and Planning and Zoning Board meetings to The Dilly-O to Inspector Skillet, special event coverage, Year In Review, special interest features, public service announcements and much more. There are multiple ways to view ACTV programming: TimeWarner Cable Channel 16, Verizon FiOS Channel 37, AT&T U-verse Channel 99 and online at www.allentv.org through video-on-demand or live streaming. ACTV also maintains a channel on YouTube at www.youtube.com/allencitytv#p/u.
